Report on Soft Skills and Resume Building

Dear learners of JAIN Online, we are delighted to say that our webinar on soft skills & resumes was a grandeur and a big hit. As we all know that "Soft skills are the key to success - they're what set you apart and make you stand out in a crowd", this statement has been said from many and heard by us. However, hardly people comprehend this. Hence, with our session all our participants got an in depth understanding about soft skills & resume building.

The session commenced by playing the after movie of our first offline event, Get Inspired (An Interactive session) with 2X Grammy Award winner Mr Ricky Kej. After that, Ms Seema Vikas Gadiya the moderator took forward the session by welcoming all the participants, and also giving a cordial welcome to our guest speaker for the evening,Mr Manikanth Challa. 

Manikanth Challa, the Founder and CEO of Workruit, is a solution-oriented entrepreneur who believes in understanding the minute details of challenges faced by society and accordingly processing them to provide a robust and well-planned solution. His brainchild, Workruit is an end-to-end HR-Tech firm that offers a suite of B2B and B2C solutions, including an AI-powered Resume Builder and a Recruitment platform.

Manikanth has received numerous honors and awards, including the Businessworld Young Entrepreneur Award 2020.

He discussed very important concepts like significance of Curriculum Vitae (CV), focus and concentrate on your strengths, stay updated with your profiles, presentable way of ourselves in the interview. He also gave some tips for mostly asked questions in interview:

1. Video Resume: This should be ideally 45-60 seconds, short and crisp info about yourselves, background, education, previous experiences etc. 
Tip: Do a short video Resume which increases the probability of screening
2. Know Your Application (KYA): Do the homework on the given job role for 20mins and understand is it relevant to me. After that go ahead and apply for it.
3. Unique Resume: Curate some of the best innovative resumes using AI tools.

Post the session, he took QnA and answered as many questions possible, then the moderator of the session, Seema gave a vote of thanks to the guest speaker. And also she briefed about Dubai Immersion Program, participants were surprised and excited about this program. 

Overall it was a great session with more than 230 participants attending the entire event
