Report on Cyber Security

 

Dear learners, we are happy to announce that our sessions are going on a positive way without any diversions. Recently our session with Moutan Sarkar was a great session.

The session commenced with after-movie of "Block-chain and the future" with Sandeep Gupta. After that, Ms Seema gave warm welcome to all the participants and have taken the feedback on previous sessions, then she gave a cordial invite to our guest speaker Ms Moutan Sarkar. 

Ms Moutan Sarkar has been working with TCS for the last 6 years and has a total experience of 9 years. She has worked on e-Discovery with a Global Bank in identifying, collecting and preserving critical data that forms part of e-Discovery in cases like the Panama Papers and Libor case, Security Operation Center and Identity and Access Management. 

She has worked with SVP National Police Academy (A Premier Training Academy for IPS officers), the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India. She is a certified Advanced Cyber Forensic Expert (CDAC) and Access Data Mobile Examiner (Access Data).

She explained the concepts of Cyber Crime case studies, it’s nature, social engineering, actors of cybercrime: 

1. State support/intelligent agencies
2. Hacktivists, Terrorists
3. Competitors
4. Disgruntled employees
5. Script kiddies

She also explained how to identify these problems, how to find solutions and also how to report these issues to the government agencies. So, that these issues won't occur on a recurring manner.

Post the lecture, she took QnA session when many participants asked their doubts and she cleared many of their questions. 

Then Ms Seema took forward the session by giving a vote of thanks to our speaker and then announced the upcoming session in Delhi and participants were excited about this trip
