Report on Ashwinder R. Singh
Dear Learners of JAIN Online, we are delighted to inform you that this informative session with Mr Ashwinder R. Singh was great for learning about the evolution of FinTech and PropTech in India.
The session commenced with the after-movie of the Trekking Program. Ms Seema took the stage to pep the participants and announced the upcoming line of events, including the Mumbai immersive experience and many others.
Our guest for the evening, Mr Ashwinder R. Singh, currently serves as the CEO of Residential at Bhartiya Urban, one of India's largest integrated townships. Previously, he was CEO-Residential, JLL India & UAE, and Group Business Head-Bajaj Housing Finance, responsible for retail & wholesale lending. He is an admired entrepreneur in the Indian start-up ecosystem and Co-founder & CEO at ANAROCK. His pioneering role in institutionalising India's online to offline property sales brokerage industry is highly acknowledged.
He is also the author of the famous book, "The A to Z of Residential Real Estate". Ashwinder is a CII Northern Region Infrastructure & Real Estate Committee member on the advisory board of Construction Week India and RICS School of Built Environment (SBE), Amity University.
During his interaction, He talked about the evolution of real estate and the opportunities available for future proptech entrepreneurs. He also supported his statements by showing research data from trusted sources across the internet.
He also explained the traits of millennials that make them soonicorns of the industry. He also explained the meaning and definition of soonicorns. He spoke about consumer preferences in the post-pandemic world and how people are pulled towards brand purchases. He further showed the growth of fintech companies in India and described the development of technology in the banking industry, aka neo banks. He talked about the real estate functioning process and highlighted fascinating concepts of buy vs rental analysis for getting a house.
After his presentation, he took some questions from the audience and cleared many of the participants' conceptions.
After the interactive and informative session with Mr Ashwinder Singh, we moved to the fun part. As a passionate singer, Mr Singh sang a few of his favourite lines from his own composition. Participants were mesmerised by his multitalented persona.
Ms Seema took the session forward by giving a vote of thanks to the guest speaker. She then announced the details of the fantastic Diwali carnival for the students, where they could get some fantastic gift hampers for every referral they made.
Overall, it is a lovely, fun and interactive session with more than 200 participants for the entire session.
